By Jonathan Leask (Northern Outlook/Central Canterbury News)
Round five proved to be one for the away teams in the Luisetti Seeds Division 1 - Combined Country Cup.
Out of the 10 matches only four home teams held on to win.
The round also had Ashley lose their unbeaten tag in section two, leaving Southbridge in section one as the only team yet to taste defeat.
Round five started on Thursday night when Lincoln collected five points against West Melton with a 41-3 win under lights in Lincoln - the only home team to win in section one.
Defending champions Methven suffered a fifth straight loss as Burnham/Dunsandel/Irwell claimed a 32-8 win to bounce back from their first defeat a week earlier.
Saracens headed south to Ashburton, beating Hampstead 35-0 with tries to Josh Maynard, Johnny Turnbull and a double from Grant Broderson.
Southbridge maintained their stellar form, remaining unbeaten and picking up a fourth bonus point with a 64-7 rout of Kaiapoi.
Glenmark also continued their high scoring antics with a 10-try demolition of Rolleston.
Second-five Mike Keane ran in a hat-trick and Sam Greenwood came off the bench to bag a double while Brook Retallick grabbed a try of his own to go with nine conversions and a penalty for a haul of 26 points.
Over in section two, Darfield made it three wins-in-a-row in taking down section two leaders Ashley 23-16.
It was one-try each in the first half as Ashley held a slender 13-10 lead over their hosts, but Darfield dotted down twice in the second stanza and held Ashley to a late penalty to hold on for the win. Despite the loss, Ashley maintains top spot.
Waihora came out on top of Celtic 22-5 in Ashburton, moving Waihora into second spot and sliding Celtic from second outside the top four.

Lock Cody Nordqvist scored a hat-trick and flanker Harry Ashworth bagged a double as the forward pack accounted for eight tries, with halfback Cawte Whiting grabbing the other and seven conversions from first-five Andrew Letham.
